How To Find Your Why In Life

This week I decided to read “Know Your Why” by Ken Costa, this book can help you to find your purpose in life and how to make your dreams a reality.

I will be discussing:

1. See Your Dreams In The Signs

2. Delete Your Distractions

3. Try New Things With Patience

If I could some up this book into one word it would have to be the word Motive: the goal or object of a person's actions.

1. See Your Dreams In The Signs

Our minds have a way of letting us know if we are going into the right or wrong direction. We just have to be open to listening for these signs when we try a new routine, meet someone new, and the places you want to go.

What does your mind often wander about or while sleeping what do you dream of. Make sure to jot down everything you can remember, it’s easier to do this by keeping a journal near your bed. Find the time seek what you really want in life and nurture those ideas and create a plan to make them a reality. Use this time to think of the things that used to bring you joy, and find ways to turn those hobbies into a profitable career.

2. Delete Your Distractions

Eliminate the things in your life that are taking you away from becoming who you want to be, don’t allow for your distractions to stop you from accomplishing your goals. Distractions can literally be anything and only you will be able to determine the vices that are holding you back from where you want to be.

Once you have handled ignoring these things you can use the time you tend to use on distractions on building your skills. And allowing for the possibilities of what you want to come into your life, through researching your next career, or how to find your purpose.

3. Try New Things With Patience

Be open to trying new hobbies, routines or genres of books to read about the goal your wishing to accomplish. Don’t passively try to find your path in life, you have to actively seek it through having an open mind to find what’s best for you.

Take a break by meditating or walking around in nature to clear your mind, try to find people who are also on the same journey as you to keep you motivated on your goals. Change your routine and rearrange your space to keep you inspired and focused, be patient your goals won’t just arrive in your life with 2 day shipping. Anything worth having takes time you have to be humble and have compassion when you sometimes stray and go through the process of becoming a better you.

Would I Buy Or Read Again?

Can I see myself re-reading Ken Costa's book “Know Your Why” again? Yes Can I see myself even purchasing “Know Your Why”? No, but I do think I would be open to rereading this book whenever I have drifted off course to where I want to be.

The Question of the Week is inspired by Ken Costa's book “Know Your Why”. Have you found your why in life?

Answer: I think that I have for this stage in my life, I also believe that as I grow older my why will change.

If you have any book suggestions add them below in the comments, and look out for new book reviews every Sunday. And remember “As we ‘Rise to Be’, we are becoming who we want to be” I am Christina B. Rising and I will always be rising. 🤗
