Book Review: 3 Ways To Know If You Were "Born To Win" by Zig Ziglar
This week I decided to read "Born to Win" by Zig Ziglar as the year is coming to a close I felt like this perfect to read. It was great reminder since this new year is coming, and this book is bursting with positive energy and good vibes that I would love to bring with me into the new year. Because this will be the year I finally graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a minor in Communications, its just been such a long journey. And I know this new year will be filled with new adventures whether it's regarding my life, career and especially this very blog. I will be discussing If You Believe In Nothing At Least Believe In Yourself, God Wants You To Win and The Importance Of Teamwork. And be sure to read my last blog on "Financial Peace" by Dave Ramsey & Rising To Be Merry: Merry Christmas.
If You Believe In Nothing At Least Believe In Yourself
I love how in this book Zig Ziglar doesn't suggest you believe in yourself by saying silly quotes or giving a terrible pep talk. Instead, he shares different stories of the people he has met and their journey to believing in themselves as well as their journey to Christ. I truly thought this book would be bursting with nothing but fluff but turns out its actually bursting motivational gems. Seeing the mistakes of others in this book made me rethink some of my plans to accomplish my dreams. And reaffirming that I have to give everything my all and just believe things might work out for me instead of thinking of how it won't.
God Wants You To Win
One thing that caught me by surprise was how Zig Ziglar gave all credit to God for everything he has and everything he is, but he didn't do it in a way that seemed preachy. He didn't force religion down your throat like how your family does during the holidays. Or when you decide to visit a church and they ask you a billion times if you would like to give your life to Christ. Zig basically says that God/The Universe wants you to win, but you won't win if you do nothing you still have to work for it.
Rising to Be Your Best Self In 2019!
That is why I would like to introduce to my Workbook: Rising to Be- who you want to be in 2019! A guide to help become your best self in the New Year, its filled with different sheets to break down your goal or multiple goals. Into bite-sized action steps so that there isn't any way you can fail in 2019, it can often be overwhelming when you are looking at the year as a whole instead of individual months. I have so much planned for the Rising to Be: Blog in 2019, I'm incredibly excited to share them all with you. and hope you will find them useful and I wish you reach all of your goals in the New Year.
Would I Buy Or Read Again? I would love to read this book again, I feel like I need my own copy for the times that I need a refresher. Especially since this book is Zig Ziglar's last books since he passed away, so it was almost like he didn't leave anything unsaid and didn't hold back with the advice he gave. And this something that I will always appreciate about this book because I feel like got exclusive advice that no one else did since they didn't read the book. Which is why I have to recommend that you read this book, so you can start 2019 off the right way.
