Happy National I Love to Write Day, as long as I can remember I have always loved the art of writing, poetry, and storytelling. There is something about making each word you write have depth and conviction in it, I also like when I get opportunities to read aloud the things I have written it just makes me feel important. It honestly boosts my confidence when I get to connect with an audience, especially in an intimate setting. And since I love to write that's why I decided to create this very blog Rising to Be. And be sure to read last week's blog on the book The Magnolia Story by Chip & Joanna Gaines.
Boldly Blogging
What I love most about having a blog is that I get to share a little slice of my life in each one. And since each I discuss what I liked, disliked and what I learned about a book. It's nice to share each week, it kind of feels like I'm writing in a personal diary and it's also nice to get out of my shell. So I can talk about things that usually change the topic of conversation on instead of having a deep conversation with someone.
A Reason To Read
And one of the main reasons I decided to challenge myself to read 52 books in 52 weeks is because I've noticed that I set goals for myself and always make an excuse for why I didn't achieve it. And as a Generation Z, I often get tossed into the Millennial group of being lazy, conceited and always on my phone. Millennials are often seen as a group that doesn't want to enjoy the little things in life like soaking in the information from a good book. I want to stand out from everyone else, and as I started this journey I would see so many shocked faces because of the goal I chose to set for myself. And now some of those shocked faces are coming to my blog see what book I'm reading or reviewing for the week. As more people, I knew asked me about my resolution I felt like I should tell more people about how this has changed my life and the books I loved along the way. And as we approach Thanksgiving, I must say that I am thankful for this blog but also you who is reading this very blog.
